What programs can I use to create audio clips from my favorite mp3's. Is there a quick way to do this in Final Cut Pro?

I'm sure you can do it in FCP but there are a zillion programs out there thay will do simply and cleanly .. QT Pro, Audacity, QT Amateur (3rd party freeware). Garageband can do it, iMovie .... just go to versiontracker and search on audio. There's a boatload of choices out there.
