Hmm. How come he isn't allowed to post announcements here, but the Ambrosia guy does it all the time?

Edit: Ok, yeah, the rules state that to make announcements you have to be an active board member. Nevermind.

I don't see the problem, frankly.

He registered with his company name, and is trying to share his work. What's the big deal?

We get 8 pages of Cheap Cigarettes, and you report this as spam?
signatures are a waste of bandwidth
especially ones with political tripe in them.

Well, I am surprised that this is NOT considered SPAM. Just imagine every software maker for OS X would publish new releases and updates as a new thread here. Gosh, can you imagine this turning into versiontracker2 ? I feel spammed.

Actually, his only fault is that he didn't prefix the thread title with "[ANN]", is all.

Give him a break, I say.

I thought I had prefixed the subject line with [ANN] and it is now prefixed correctly but if I forgot to do that initially then I apologize

As long as he remains an active user, I have no problems with it.

What's the definition of an active user ?
Certain amount of posts per month ?

Since you can't close your account, technically, everyone who registered is an active user...

IMO, that's what versiontracker.com is for. Everything else should go on the homepage of the company.
