I did check the other thread, and posted a reply, but nothing.

I've switched to Tiger, and I've been attempting to clean up my library. I've changed the info and genres on a bunch of tracks, but after they play, they go back to the previous info. Very frustrating. i have checked my permissions, repaired permissions, and I read about the ID3 tag, and I'm confused as to what the 2.3 and 2.4 buisness is all about. i don't want to use itunes until this is fixed, because I don't want to have to change everything back in info.

Another problem, if i play by genre, it will only play about 2 or 3 tracks then stop. I have repeat all and shuffle selected, so I would think I should be able to play music this way. Any ideas?

Anybody? It's driving me crazy....so much so that I haven't been listening to music for several days now, because I don't want to have to change it all over again.
I did read in the Apple discussions, a guy with the same problem, but no answer there either.

The only things I can think of would be a permissions problem or a database problem. Make sure you have write access to your files (though you probably already did, Repair Permissions won't fix non-system permissions). Otherwise, you might try clearing your library and re-importing everything (though this might not work, either).

These are really just shots in the dark, though.
