I created hundreds of webpages on my old PM using Visual Page. I'd like to continue working on my webpages on my G4 iBook, but Visual Page doesn't work on the iBook.
Is there another appication I can use on my iBook that will read and edit the webpages I created with Visual Page, without messing up all my webpages I've already created?

I have never heard of Visual Page, but if the program created web pages, they should be in some standard format such as html, php, etc...
You should be able to edit these pages with any text editor, i.e. BBEdit, skEdit, SubEthaEdit, etc... or any full-blown WYSIWYG program such as dreamweaver, Tag, etc...
I'd recommend skEdit out of all of them.

Thanks for your advice. I've downloaded a number of applications for creating web pages -- Create, Creative Page, ElfData XML Editor, HTML Creator 3.5.1, HyperEdit, Site Studio, Tag, Web Design 2.6.1 and skEdit.
I'm wondering why I can't see the images in my web pages when I open them up with various other applications? I can see the HTML code, and one application displays the source code in different colors! (Just as in Visual Page) On my PowerMac 7300/500, I can see the images just fine when I open up my web pages using Visual Page, so when I'm editing the html pages, I can see the images clearly, and move them around, or resize them, or whatever. Any ideas why I can't see the images on my G4 iBook? Could it be because I've moved all the files from one hard drive (on the PM) to another HD (iBook)?
I've put too much time into creating so many web pages, and don't really have the time to create the web pages all over again.
I'd really like something fairly simple, at least for now. I don't need to have videos or music or any complicated graphics on my web pages. I need to have an application that makes it easy to upload images, and do simple web design, mostly just text with images, links, counters, guestbooks, etc.

There could be a number of reasons why your images are not showing up. You could be using absolute or relative paths to the images that are incorrect, the image directory could be in the wrong place, etc... Do the images show up after you upload the files to a web server?
Quit worrying, you won't have to re-create anything. At most, you might have to do a find & replace across all your files or something similar.

I should explain .... My web pages on the Internet, for the most part, are just fine. Most of the images that I have uploaded over the years are still there. When I use Visual Page to edit web pages on my old PowerMac 7300/500, I can switch modes, so I can see the images on the web page, and then switch modes again for editing.
The problem that I'm having now -- When I moved all of the files for my web pages from the PM to the iBook, I cannot view the images in my web page files. I tried using many applications (Creative Page, HTML Creator, Tag, TextEdit, WebDesign, XML Editor, and several others), but I cannot see the images, only the space where the image is, with a question mark.
Has the HTML code somehow been corrupted? Is there a simple solution? I'm still searching for a newer application. Some people have recommended DreamWeaver, Freeway Express, Nvu, Rapid Weaver. I've already downloaded CreativePage, HTML Creator, Tag, TextEdit, WebDesign and XML Editor, and several others.
I'd like to have an application for creating new web pages, and editing my hundreds of older web pages, that is simple, but yet has extra features, and easy to use/understand. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks.

When you were on you old Mac there was an absolute path to the images, most likey. Somehting like:
7300 > My Macintosh HD > Documents > Websites, etc
When you moved the files to your new computer that path is no longer valid.
My suggestion would be to open one of these pages and in re-insert the image, navigating to where the images are now on your computer.
Though not from the list you gave, many editors will insert the link as it is in relation your page (../../images/myphoto.jpg) but also require you to set up the root folder of your site (Documents > Sites > and so on).
So, when you are using one of those new editors, you will have to set up a new 'site' and then choose the actual folder it is in.
Maybe the best way is to copy the lines of code that contain your image from anyone of you pages.
That may give us a better idea.

dragonflypro: Thanks for your comments. I was thinking something along the same lines. I'm still trying to figure out how to use Freeway Pro and Nvu. I'm having difficulty figuring out how to open my old HTML files and save them with the new applications.
With Nvu, I can save the older files, but only on the desktop. If I navigate to the folder where I want the files saved, the Save choice is not selectable. So I have to manually move the saved file to the correct folder. I'm wondering if this will mess things up? When I upload the new web pages I'm created I'll find out!
