I have an Apple account that I created a couple of years ago using an @mac.com email address. I have been using this account to purchase from the iTunes Music Store. The .Mac account is no longer active (nor has it been active for the better part of these two years I have used the account to purchase music) as I never enrolled as a full member of .Mac after the free trial.

I want to change the email address associated with my Apple account from the @mac.com address to one that I am able to check. Can I change the email address in the account settings on the Apple website without adversely affecting my ability to listen to music purchased (both pre- and post-change) with this account?

If Apple did not tie the account name to the associated email address I would not need to ask this, however, they do so I am.

If I haven't made myself clear regarding my intentions, please indicate such.

Jon
