Does any body out there use Extensity (a Java based accounting program)? We use it at work to reconcile the corporate credit card statements and input other charges related to travel. I just set up an iMac at my desk with OS 10.2.8 and IE 5.3 (what is required to use Extensity, according to corporate).
When I click on the "create a new expense report" line I get a box that says "Java Web Start 1.2" and it appears to be downloading resources of a .jnlp type, but it also says "0 remaining" and never finishes downloading whatever it is trying to. Sometimes three or four of these boxes open up.
What is "Java Web Start" and is it the same thing as Java (I have version 1.4.1, according to Terminal)?
What would normally happen is that the Extensity program would open when you click on that link.
I set this computer up myself but I think that I have all the proxies set right since everything else works as it should. Does it sound like a proxy issue to anybody? I can run Extensity on the nearby PC, so I know it works in the building. I could check the PC proxy settings- anybody know how to do that? I am windoze illiterate.
Thanks-
Val
P.S. - I can post a screenshot later if that will help.
