Question: Is it possible to modify the snooze time options on iCal alarm notifications ??? You know how iCal will display an alarm message for a chosen event ? Well, the options when the alarm alerts you then are: close the alarm, repeat in ??? time, open iCal. The "repeat in ??? time" option is what I am interested in modifying. As it stands now, the option times to choose from if I want the alarm to repeat only consist of "REPEAT IN: 5 mins, 15 mins, 1 hour, 1 day." I want to know if there is a way to add to the list. I want to add a REPEAT IN: 2hrs, 4hrs, 6hrs, 9hrs, 12hrs or whatever. I think the limited alarm repeat times are rediculous.

Question: My Software Update App that is built-in, basically, into OSX is wacked out. Many of the security updates that Apple sends out do not show up in software update. Also, when I go to the preference pane and click on "CHECK NOW" for current updates, I get a message saying that it "could not check for updates" and "Check your network settings and try again." I check my network settings and they are all working fine. Every other app that uses the network to obtain info works fine. Only Software Update doesn't. Another thing, is it possible to permanently get rid of any updates that I chose not to install ??? Occasionally, there is an update or two that I do not want to install. I choose "Make Update Inactive," which is the only option that exists. Unfortunately, Software Update Application will then regularly open itself up and tell me that I have updates to install. The very updates that I didn't want to install which I chose "Make Inactive" earlier. They keep showing up. Is there a way to permanently get rid of software updates that one doesn't want to install so that they do not keep reappearing ???

Question: Is there a way to improve upon Apple's built-in spell checker and dictionary ??? I get soooooooooooo frustrated because the current spell checker that came with my Mac supplies rediculous matches to words that I have misspelled. I have tested it out and it sucks, BIG TIME. So what I want to know is if there is a way to improve it or is there another third party spell checker that will do the same thing only better ??? That includes the dictionary which must be rediculously limited because half the time it offers words up that aren't even in the same ballpark as the one I want. Peace out . . .
