I have a G4 desktop using Tiger 10.4.1 and I have been having some probems with my startup hard drive (80gb). It is near capacity predominantly with music (over 50gb). I have backed up this 50gb of music to another internal drive, but I would like to clean down the drive I have been having problems with and free up space by deleting this music from the startup disk.
I am nervous to attempt this without getting a second opinion. I have all my music sorted in playlists which took a great deal of time and effort. Can somebody please let me know how to keep all my playlists and settings as they already exist.
I know in iTunes preferences advanced options there is a destination drive/folder that I can select....but does this maintain all my playlists as they exist and can I delete the original files?.

Any thoughts ideas or suggestions will be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance
