Try BitTorrent and Acqusition. That should cover most things you are after.

has anyone used acquisition and if so, what are your thoughts? this thread is the first i have seen of it. what do you like and dislike about it? sorry for all the questions, but i am always a bit leary of installing new p2p software for fear of what it ends up doing to your system. any input is appreciated.... thanks again.

Xfactor owns Acquisition.
Acquisition isn't really dangerous — it's just matched or beaten on every front. Mac P2P software is generally much less evil than its Windows cousins. Check out MacUpdate if you want reviews.
Of course, if you're installing pirated software, I'm not going to make any guarantees about what that will do to your system…

I prefer Acquisition over anything.
The interface is beautiful. It is very fast. And it has awesome features such as smart searches, search filtering, Inquisition integration, etc...

I've had bad experiences with all of the giFT-based P2P apps, including XFactor. A bug in giFT's Gnutella module causes all outgoing connections to die on my machine. Now I only use Acquisition (Gnutella) and Azureus (BitTorrent). I never got good search results from the other networks, so I don't miss them.
