Wouldn't it be great if you could choose which dictionary you would like to use, i.e. different languages? At the moment you can choose between "New Oxford American Dictionary" and Oxford American Writers Thesaurus" only.
I know there are many Widgets out there which can do other languages, but the integration in the system of app Dictionary makes it a great thing (Control Command D while hoover over a word in many apps gives you a pop-up of Dictionary).

I really hope Apple adds more dictionaries. French dictionaries such as Larousse or Robert would be most welcome. I hope Apple is trying to cut a deal with them to add it to Dictionary.app.

That dictionary is a really large file. Maybe abridged versions or localized install CDs if Apple does that at all, or widgets for online dictionaries in other languages. Since OS X is supposed to be any language, there should be dictionaries for other languages.

yeah.. Although that would be the sweetest option, I think this would make the OS instal a lot larger than it already is.
A non-sentence... Sorry, you get what I am trying to say.

Mind that you do have the option to install which language you want and which you don't. F.i. you can install only French and hence have the French dictionary. A lot of people here in Europe only use their own language on a Mac.

Something went wrong with my Mail app. I started to receive emails from years ago. First I didn't notice it, then I understood it had to do with me putting back an backup from all my email. And started to "receive" email, being unread.
Sorry for this.
Still good topic though

Good topic, sure, but not worth bringing it back up just to comment on. That's one of the reasons we have a rule against dredging up old threads-unless you have something useful to post, it just clogs the forums.
