i know others have had this sort of problem...
but this just started for me.

mail, open all the time, will suddenly pop up a window, and ask for my password.
this never happened to me before (from 10.2 to the present)

i keep entering in my password, and saving to keychain.

it doesnt seem to need the password, just to be closed.
but it's a nuisance, when i'm working on something, and suddenly mail is at the front.

any ideas??

thanx!

I have periods of that, and have done for the past year or so. No problems for a month and then a day when it doesn't want to play. From what I understand, it's a problem connecting to the server. There's not much you can do about it, as it's not a problem with your machine or with mail, just the connection timing out to the server. Sometimes I get the error on sending only but receive mail fine.

Just hit cancel on the box and try again later.
