Am I wrong (and I hope I am) or is it not possible to sync my Address Book's smart groups via: .mac, isync, iPod or anything else?

Why is this?

I can sync my smart playlists in iTunes...

Is there an easy work around to this?

Easy workaround:
for each smart group 'mypeeps',
create a regular group named '-mypeeps'.
drag-and-drop the smart group into the regular group as its sole member.

the regular group can be synched, addressed in Mail.app, etc.
dumb, but it works.

Thanks.

I was hoping I won't have to do that just to keep my "group madness" to a minimum, but I guess I'll just have to live with it for a while...

damn you address book....
