i just check the active monitor, and found Safari used 105MB ram, it that normal?
There were once four people named Everybody, Somebody, Nobody and Anybody. Somebody had to do a job, but Nobody wanted to do it. Nobody could see that Anybody could do it, and Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Nobody ended up doing it, and it so happened that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Well, after close it and open it again, the amount of RAM being used by Safari is about 26 MB, Real Memory not Virtual Memory.

Also, I believe that in Safari's memory total, it includes the memory used by flash, java, etc. Once Safari loads one of those apps, it never frees the memory until you quit safari (that's by design). I believe that there are a few memory leaks in the OS X version of the Flash runtime (I'm not 100% certain, though), which can cause Safari to appear to use 100's of MB of ram...

Emptying and deactivating the cache helps. Same with flavicons.
