I am converting a number of Powerpoint presentations to flash in order to post them on a website. I have played around with a number of methods. I've used the native ppt convesion to webpage both on the Mac and the PC, I've used the PC's version of "make a movie". I've imported the ppt to keynote and exported the file to both flash and quicktime files.
Any of the above methods work, but all have pros and cons. I've decided that I like the flash option the best, but the biggest drawback to the keynote method is that there are no forward/back buttons- so you have to start over if you want to go to a previous slide.
There are a number of costly ppt to flash programs available for the PC (maybe for the Mac, too?). Before I purchase one of these, I was looking for some input on this topic. Has anyone used one of these programs (PC or Mac?). What do you recommend?
I read about a relatively simple method Here but have not tried it. Has anyone done this? I'd love some thoughts and feedback.
Thanks

Well, for those of you with the same question I had, I found that there are many, many ppt to flash programs out there, each with there own pros and cons.
The one I like the most so far is Here. The reason it is so attractive is because it will do the conversion in a batch process. You can load as many ppt's you want, and have it convert them all in one fell swoop! Deal maker for me. It also produces a single swf file, so you can do what you want with it. Other applications spit out more fancy interfaces, etc.- but you have a folder with multiple files- which makes it hard to password protect these pages if you use a php script inside your html document for password protection.
Another downside is that it does not appear to support animations and video within the ppt file- but for me, the static content is more important. There are a large, large number of apps out there that do similar stuff. A good overview of many of them can be seen here.
Only problem: these are all PC apps as far as I know. The Mac community needs to write an app like this. Any takers??

Sorry... that should have been Keynote... which imports PowerPoint, and exports Flash.

I've done it that- but it is time consuming to import ppt into keynote, then export to flash. I found one app for the pc that allows you to do this as a batch process.
