Ok, here's the deal: I recently had to perform an archive and install. In the process, I lost the Safari app that I was very happy with. It was raplace by an older version of Safari. Now, I can't view any video in my browser. Before, I could click an .mpeg file and another window would open up and start playing the movie. Now it downloads the movie to my desktop. Anybody know what gives ??? Is there a plugin I need that will enable Safari to play movie files from within the browser ??? Please advise. Thanks. Peace out . . .

As a matter of fact, I do have a plugin that is labeled something like QuickTime.plugin. I think that is the only one. Do I need to trash any Quicktime plugins that are in that folder ??? Please advise. Peace out . . .

TheZee here and frustrated as all get out. I trashed the internet plug-in file Quicktime.plugin and still, Safari won't play any .mpeg, .mpg files from within the browser. When I click on a .mpeg or .mpg movie file to view it Safari immediately begins downloading the file. Before, Safari would play the movie from within the browser. Does anybody know what gives ??? Any and all guidance is greatly appreciated. Peace out . . .
