Can anyone recommend a genuinely reliable disk repair program? Besides DiskWarrior, which I've used for years with no problems. But what else? Norton usually works but occasionally causes problems. TechTool Pro causes even more and has become increasingly confusing. I've heard mixed reports about Drive Genius but haven't used it myself. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

i think just about everyone here will tell you to avoid norton totally - it used to be a great product but is one of those things that just didn't make the transition to os x very well at all.

i have both diskwarrior and techtool pro 4.x and have not had any issues with either -they've worked when i have needed them too. i have also been looking at drive genius...seems to be a very nice package and a couple weeks back got very favourable remarks on macfixit....
