Hello,

I found that Illustrator export EPS into a non standard way, as result, Corel Draw and OpenOffice.org can't read the EPS file correctly. It shows up a square with some information in it.

Is there a way to convert those file into a more compatiable format?

Thanks.

If you want to retain the vector information from Illustrator, there's no good alternative to EPS. You might try PICT. Otherwise, just rasterize the file and export it to any raster format supported by your other apps.

Is this in Illustrator CS (or CS2)?
Then you should try using Exporting it as a Illustrator Leagacy EPS. and save it in one of the older EPS formats (Illustrator 8 or 9 ar usually the most supported)
As Adobe owns the EPS standard (allong with the PostScript one) they can do what they like with it, it will be Coral etc who are behind with there support for the newer EPS's being created by Illustrator.
