I'm not looking to rip off apple or intuit or anything, but I have an ibook with Quicken 2004. I just got a mini that came loaded with Quicken 2005. I have one Quicken data file & I would like to use it from both machines (Keep it on the mini disk, but access it from the ibook from time to time. The problem is that I don't want to lay out $60 for another copy of quicken. I know that when you purchase Quicken (or at least Quickbooks for sure) they allow you to install it on two computers, such as my situation, a laptop & a desktop to access your file)
The problem is that the mini's install disk (tiger) doesn't seem to work like other install disks I've used in the past. You have to load up the OS X installer to get at any of the included apps. I tried to install it on my ibook, but the installer told me that I couldn't install onto that computer.
