Attempting to burn a VIDEO_TS folder to dvd-rom format dvdr and toast keeps sneaking these 2 index-tye desktop files onto the root of the dvd-rom creating a coaster disc (atleast in my dvd player's mind).

I've put it in simulation and tried so many times, but as soon as i press the red button to burn, the files appear. Is there something I am accidentally doing wrong? this doesnt happen all the time, but at the moment its doing it EVERY time with this one movie.

Those files aren't the reason your DVD player isn't recognizing the disc: a DVD-ROM is usually ISO or ISO/HFS+ hybrid -- DVD-Video needs to be UDF.
