What kinds of software would you like to see on Mac OS X? What does Windows have available that we don't?

How about a Web browser that works with more than 60% of Web sites out there... I feel left out!

I've never encountered a website I couldn't use with Safari. Not ever. I know they're out there, but 40% is an enormous exaggeration. In fact, I feel sorry for Windows users, not having any browsers as good as Safari or Omniweb.
JAR, if you're looking for an unsatisfied niche on OS X, a few possibilities come to mind:
1. Easy-to-use home and garden-layout software.
2. Financial/invoicing software—I hear complaints that there's not enough of this sort of thing available.
3. Software like Printshop for making those crappy greeting cards that older ladies like so much.
That's about all I can think of.

Definitely. I wish I knew more about this sort of thing, because I know there's a serious lack of good solutions for Mac.

Pages is too advanced. I'm talking about those programs that walk you through a wizard where you choose from 100 ugly clip-art pictures and 10 gaudy fonts, and then you hit "print" and out comes your little greeting card. Windows users think those are the bee's knees.

Is The Print Shop what you're looking for?

You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

I have The Print Shop! Sad, I know. But I like it. And it's equally as cool today as it was on the Apple //e, and then on the Performa.
Except no 'Print Shop Companion' these days. Ah Apple //e. Don't make me get nostalgic over it again.

MYOB maybe.

I think the less software like that, the better. Nothing says 'I can't be ***ed getting you something meaningful' like a tacky home printed card.
Software that I'd most like is advanced diagnostic tools like for analysing CD/DVD burms to check burner/disc compatibility as well as firmware updates for drives that can be installed via OS X.
I'd like a better Finder. Path Finder shows how the Finder could have been done but even it isn't great. People want tabs and more configuration options. Mostly a Finder that keeps permissions properly and doesn't hog memory.
Other than that, I don't feel there is any lack of software on Mac. I think I've booted Virtual PC twice to use Windows software and only once was it useful.
