i have set a rule to autoreply to messages containing attachments with a certain extension, and mail.app has been attaching the actual attachment file to the replies. mail.app doesn't do that if i reply manually to these emails, so i'm wondering if there is some setting that i missed.

running tiger and never tried this before on previous os's. thanks.

settings:

if ALL of the following conditions are met:

sender is member of group...

any attachment name contains ".dfw"

perform the following actions:

reply to message...

mark as read

bounce icon in dock

nevermind. i just wrote an applescript to handle it. it gives me more freedom with the text of the message anyway.
