Hi there,

received my used ibook today and it's wonderful. i'm not up on the internet yet. i'm posting from my windows computer. on to my trouble:

i've imported two cds so far. however, the name of each track just comes up as "track 01, track 02," etc and the time come up for each track. no other information is displayed.

i've used itunes on windows before and i know for sure that the name of the track, the artist, the album, etc should come up. how do i set this to work properly?

also, the cds are legal true cds, not burned copies.

Welcome to Macintosh, jam. Now you say you're not online with your iBook, right? Well, if that's the case you're not going to get any CD track information, since that information is obtained from the Internet. Once you connect to the Internet, you can manually have iTunes download the information for those existing tracks by selecting them and using the "Get CD Track Names" from the Advanced menu.

Or, if you have the preference set, iTunes will automatically get track names when you insert a CD.
