Hey all,
My iTunes seems to be stricken with a ghost........it willl randomly launch itself in the background at strange times. I don't have an ipod connected when it happens, just surfing the net, etc. This has happened on two of my laptops now, an iBook and a Powerbook. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

The only thing I can think of is that you have something running that polls iTunes for info on occasion, like a "currently playing" script, or something.
