...I've saved a bad spelling by accident and want to erase it from the Mail Memory Banks, but I can't find a list anywhere - which I assume is a text file - and neither for that matter, which I think is worth noting - will spotlight - after a search for the misspelled word, which I assume should exist in a text of the Mail "Learned Spellings"...

Could one of you please point me to the location of the Mail Learned Spellings List?

Thanks very much and best regards,
Kent M

Do you mean the auto-complete "learned" e-mail addresses?

No, I mean the "Learn Spelling" feature. I want to know where the "Learned" words list lives.

~/Library/Spelling/en

Open the "en" file with TextEdit or the like and edit the file as needed.

And that's not the Mail spellchecker. That's the system-wide spellchecker. With the exception of AppleWorks, I don't think any of Apple's apps use a custom spellcheck system.

Correct, that is the spell checker location for all Cocoa-based applications.
