I downloaded some CC or other copyleft mp3s from some cool site I ran across. I love the songs and want to get more from the same band, and I'd like to do it from that same site. The glitch is that I have since erased my Safari history, and like the scatterbrain I usually am, I forgot to note the name or URL of the site.

The files are still listed in my Safari Download window, but there's no Get Info available in that window for Safari. I recall that IE even used to have a method of tracking from where one downloaded a file... Does anyone know a way I could backtrack this?

Thanks!

You can click on a file in the downloads window and hit Cmd-C to copy it to the clipboard. Paste it anywhere to view.

Alternatively, 'Get Info' on the file you downloaded, and look under the 'More Info' section for the 'Where from' bit. It will tell you the URL it came from.
