final cut express importing problems

	I am having trouble importing video from VHS (in my VCR) through the AV-->DV device built into my canon optura 30 and into final cut express. I know all the cords and settings are correct because i can see the movieplaying in final cut express, it even says "VTR OK" I just can't get it to record onto the computer. I have tried all three buttons to download it, it just won't work. Can someone help me?
