Hi,

I am trying to burn a Divx cd in Toast 7 of some DVD footage I have. It imports fine, let's me set the options, the bar by the record button is green meaning it has enough space to put onto cd, it sees my recorder, etc. But when I click the record button, the toast window shakes and doesn't say anything.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Lots of people seem to be having this problem. The best bet is to just save your disc as a toast image first then burn that toast image in disk utility or something.

it might have someting to do (or might it?) that the toast 6 prefs are still in the userprefs. with 2 toastversions (6&7) they might be in eachothers way

I have experienced this problem as well.
I have a third party DVD burner which worked fine using patchburn under toast 6.
Do you have a genuine superdrive? Is this the cause of the problem?
Does anyone have more details about the prefrences problem?

Am I assuming right to guess that Sony firewire kast with NEC ND 3540 is a 3rd party drive?
I've found that deleting the prefs does nothing, but rendering the dvd's to an image and then burning them off in Disk Utility works fine.
This is a resonable compromise for me since I got my DVD burnder for practically nothing, and I can still access the Toast 7 Features...
