So I can have the same bookmarks on all of my machines...

Maybe trick it in the same manner that you can have iPhoto or Address Book or iTunes share prefs and info between accounts?... except give it an internet address.

Any hints or methods?

No, because Apple wants you to buy .Mac and use the sync feature.

If there are any 3rd party utilities that do this, I don't know of them.

Yeah, the thing I want is very different from .Mac and iSync.

iSync is at best a clumsy stop-gap solution to what I'd prefer, and I just can't get used to the awkwardness of having to sync...

not to mention that Safari is a pain in the *** to organize bookmarks with if you have more that, say, 10 bookmarks...

There must be some sort of way to read and write bookmarks from and to a web location...
