i have a .sit file over 1gb and a few hundred megs in, stuffit says there is an error in decompressing the file. has this happened to anyone before and if so do you know a way around this or a third party app that could help me unstuff this folder? its my home movies so its really important to me. thanks.

you might have to redownload the broken file again. at least this never happened to me so far, so i don't think it is stuffit's problem.

Has happened to me before - no, I don't know a way around it - that's why I don't stuff things anymore!

I'm having a problem with Stuffit, too. It decompresses the archive, but when I open the folder, it contains no items.

It's not only with Stuffit. It does it with .rar filrs, too.

.zip and .dmg seem to work fine, though.
