I know you can create a PDF from Excel using Acrobat. But it's just a document that looks like your spreadsheet. Is there anyway to make the formulae survive the transition?

No. You are not getting a form, you are getting the equivalent of a printout.

That sucks. I also hate how you can't start a new Acrobat document from scratch. Irritating.

That doesn't make any sense to me. Start an Acrobat document from scratch? Think of PDF as an output format, not a document type. To me, that's like saying you want to start a document by having your printer spew out a blank piece of paper.

But if you really do want to start a document, use Adobe Illustrator. It creates PDF documents from scratch.

Yes, send an XLS file instead of a PDF...
