I'm running 10.3.9 on two different computers (see my sig below) and for the past couple of months I've been getting the stupid spinning beachball delay with almost every second link click in Safari.

Neither computer is short of hd space, and they both have adequate RAM. Most of the time I only have Safari and Mail open on my iBook. Nothing has changed with either computer except software updates.

I'm really starting to get sick of it. Yesterday I switched all of my bookmarks over to Firefox, but then realized that Firefox does not support "Check Spelling as you Type". This feature is really indispensable for posting on web forums, so I'm back to Safari and the beachball.

Is anyone else getting this with 10.3? Is there anything to fix the problem?
