so I have the software, but want to learn how to use it. Can anyone recommend a good book for learning? (I know there are lots, that is why I am asking which one is a good one?)

Perhaps more importantly, how well do you know HTML? Do you know the difference between structure and presentation? Can you hand-code simple two-column layouts without tables, and write style sheets?

That'll determine whether or not getting a book on Dreamweaver is worthwhile yet.

I don't know about that, Cap. If Dreamweaver's target user base were HTML heads, Macromedia would not be selling many copies of Dreamweaver.

Perhaps, Big Mac. Still, trying to use Dreamweaver for anything but the simplest project would be a disaster if you didn't already know quite a bit about HTML and its limitations. Of couse, I don't know what Ero2 plans to do with Dreamweaver; maybe he simply wants to put pictures of his cat on his homepage.
