Hello all-

I am looking for a good inexpensive (free is always my favce price) contact manager. I am used to Act! which is expensive but works great. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Need to be able to add contatcs and notes for each.

Thank you!

OS X Address Book? It has custom fields, and notes for each contact. Works with all the other OS X apps, and iSync if you require. Do you have any specific needs?

Thank you so much for your reply.

The address function may be too small? I really need to keep notes on each contact for things like:

Sept 14 Call Discussed upcoming meeting. His wife will be there. Introduce......

etc...
things like that in addition to remionding myself of phone calls to make, meetings I have scheduled, and the like.

You can add notes at the bottom of each contact's card.

I need a more professional manager with more options like a dedicated Noted field that auto dates in addition to reminding myself of phone calls to make, meetings I have scheduled, and the like.

You could try Daylite. It looks like it'll do what you want, but it's not exactly cheap.

Thanks, but for that kind of cashish, I'd go to Act.

Well, I think you're SOL. If you have Office, you may be able to use Entourage.

You should try OD4Contact from objective-decision. It's cheaper than Daylite or Act! not as many features too but worth looking at!

Now Up-To-Date is another contact manager, but I've never used it so I have no idea how well it works.

And ACT! stopped making a mac version years ago. And having formerly worked at the company that owned ACT! you definitely don't want the latest version. Reports coming from old friends aren't encouraging about their new version for Windows.
