How can I enable Safari to play .mpg video files and audio files (.wav, .aiff etc.) from within the browser ??? I am running OSX 10.2.8 and using Safari 1.0.3 I used to be able to simply click on one of the above mentioned file types and the file would play from within the browser. Then, I had to do an archive and install of my OSX. After that, whenever I click on any one of these types of files, Safari downloads the file to my HD. It won't play the file from within the browser like it used to. Please advise.
I am pulling my hair out because being able to preview a .mpg or .wav file enabled me to determin whether I wanted to download it or not without the necessity of using a third party app to open it. HELP ME PLEASE PEOPLE !!!
