i have a very large word doc file, w/many columns of different width's etc.
it seems like since i went from OS 9 to OS X, the columns would change widths, seemingly randomly, etc. i would spend the time to drag the grid lines deliniating the columns back to their correct places, but they'd eventually jump around again
some lines wouldn't jump at all, and then, lower on the document, some lines would
this made a huge mish-mash of weird looking, crazily uneven columns all over this document and it makes me crazy to work with it now
anyone else have any similar probs ever?
anyone have any clue what is going on?
as far as i can tell, there are no hidden characters, indents, whatever at issue, but who knows...
btw, i just upgraded to tiger and the problem is unchanged. it really started when this word doc, originally created in OS 9, began being used in OS X
for the version of word it sez, "microsoft word 2003" by the application icon
any help would be greatly appreciated, as i use this document all the time
oh, i have twin 2.5 G5. got it when i jumped to OS X (when all the probs started)
thanks much!!
