Pretty sure I went from PS 6 to CS; and most recently CS 2.
My software box is the upgrade version and the box states:
Upgrade
This upgrade version of this software will install only if you are a
licensed user of a previous version of this software product.
Has no mention that you may upgrade from say, PS 6 and above.
System req states that you must have G3,G4, or G5
and running OS 10.2.8 at an absolute minimum
(version 10.3.4 through 10.3.8 recommended)
also 384MB of RAM recommended.
