It's an optional account to add an extra mailbox to a full .Mac account (ie. your significant other, children, etc.) and not as a standalone option.

Anybody know if the "e-mail only" .Mac accounts received an upgrade in size with the recent .Mac upgrades?

Still 50MB.

It's so stupid to get an account that small and have to pay for it! I have 2618 MB on my GMail account and I have it set to have all my GMail mail to be taken off gmail.com automatically and onto Mail (here so i can open it right from my regular app. instead of having to go online just to check my email!

Right. Ok.

Most people.. are you paying attention? Most people don't just use .mac for the EMAIL.

Enjoy your gmail. I got an account, and I think it sucks. Never use it.

Sure, what happens to your sent mail? I would hate to go back to regular POP3 purely because syncing mail between my laptop and desktop with IMAP is seamless...

I just gets sent straight from Mail and if you setup your accounts on Mail on other computers than you would get mail "seamlessly", although if you delete an email on one computer than it oviously won't be deleted on the other computer.....

Budster: This thread is really about .mac mail, i'm trying to give another solution... read Nyl's first message.
