Hi all,
I'm using OSXVNC and Chicken of the VNC to administer my parents' Mac mini. The problem encountered is that after a few minutes (not sure if it's time or clicks, though) the VNC connection is dropped. On my parents' end, the OSXVNC GUI claims the server is still running, although I haven't been able to check out the state of the actual OSXVNC process. After having my parents' press "Restart," I'm able to connect again. After a few minutes, the connection fails again.

I have tested the exact same setup on a friend's Mac and it works like a charm.

I do not use SSH forwarding.

My parents' Mac is connected to the internet through a cable modem and a D-Link router. I believe I have set everything up correctly, since I am able to connect at all.

Does anyone have similar experiences, or have a clue of what may be causing the connection to be dropped? Some kind of time-out?

Next time I connect, I will try to take a look at the OSXVNC logs.

All suggestions, ideas appreciated!
