I finally got me a new iBook, and loving it. However, a bit naive when it comes to apps available, so requesting some help.
Ideally, what I would like, would be a suite of apps, or even one big app to handle for my situation. I'm a web developer for a couple of different web firms, and for some of my own, so I have a number of different clients, I would like something where I can easily keep track of clients, and tasks, documents, notes, and hours related to them. I'm also using apache to development, so a link to their vhost folder would be ideal, but that can easily be done with a symlink, so no biggy.

My biggest need is also a time tracker, currently I'm using ActiveTimer .. but that only tracks apps in general, and not specific windows ... would be nice to differentiate between using Mozilla to run some script tests vs Mozilla to check sports scores (person vs. business).

My second request is another suite/app package to deal with emails, RSS, calendar, address book, alerts, todo/tasks, etc.
Currently I'm using Mozilla Applicaton Suite. Thunderbird still had some annoying issues, and Mail.app didn't like my POP servers for some reason. I'm happy sticking with MAS, and might even switch over to the iCal-Mail.app combo cause iCal will alert even when it's not running (whereas MAS-Calendar has to be open to alert) ...

Whether it's 1 major app, or a series of small integrated ones, it doesn't matter, or perhaps even running it on the builtin apache server would be ideal ... but the possibility for publishing to the Web would be nice ...

Req#1:
Sounds like it's time to start developing in FileMakerPro,
cuz' that would be ideal for what you're after. I built a very
similar database system for a client last year, also built it to
generate estimates then turn them into invoices and track
design revisions including my hours and expenses. Took me
about 2 weeks to do & if yer already programming it should
be a quick study for you.

Req#2:
Again, haven't heard of any app that handles all of those items
in one. I'm using iCal/Address Book now - works good for me,
I'd go with that.
