Does it produce a crash.log? If not, you should find some information in the system.log
I suggest you backup and delete its preference file, then launch it again. Hopefully its working...

There was a documented issue a while back with the MX apps and Tiger (or was it Panther?). I had this happen and had to reinstall from a root account (!). Anyway, search the Macromedia knowledgebase and you should find the info.

Hmmm the app works fine from root... I'll try reinstalling from root and see what happens.

I reinstalled from root and deleted the prefs file for my user but it still will not launch... where would I look for the crash log?

I get some Dreamweaver errors reported in my Console, without opening any specific error log.
For the crash logs (there are way too many of these I notice), clicking on the "Logs" button at the top left, then opening ~/Library/Logs displays a Dreamweaver.crash.log here.

Where you doing anything else before it stopped working? Any system updates or reinstalls? Try reading this:
http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/kn...fm?id=tn_18933. Macromedia has a hotfix available that just might do the trick.
I had a similar experience with Dreamweaver bounciing in the dock, but not starting. This was after I did an archive and install. Downloaded and ran the hotfix, and am now back in business. Give it a whirl.

I am having the same problem, I cannot get it to install and run, either! No crash log, nothing. This is Dreamweaver MX 2004 - the HotFix on Macromedia's website does not fix things, and none of the Studio applications seem to be working for me (no Fireworks, no Dreamweaver).

Hello, I just ran into the same problem.
I looked online for a solution and everyone siad uninstall and reinstall.
But that didn't work.
I was messing around with regedit and removed the folder nammed Common under
Macromedia >> after that was removed I ran dreamweaver. The reg information was
restored and Dreamweaver was up and running.
Good luck
I hope this helps you out.
