Hi. I have a powerbook and Microsoft Excel. When I use the trackpad to scroll (the side part w. Sidetrack) it takes forever to move down a sheet in Excel. Yet it works perfectly fast in Safari/Firefox. How do I speed up vertical scrolling in Excel? Thanks. -Phil

One thing that might help is using the keyboard to move around the sheet. For example, if you have a block of filled cells, pressing Cmd+an arrow key will move you to the end of that block.

Doesn't help with your actual question, but ....

Each app decides how to support scrolling. Excel decided to do one row per scroll wheel "click" (of course, this is invisible in the trackpad).

I'm not sure there's much you can do about it, other than using the scrollbar thumb to drag, or using page up/down (that's fn plus up/down arrow).

You could set sidetrack to make a corner hit on the trackpad equal a pgdown in Excel.

Not exactly what you want, but a work-around.

I find this strange as I have a 15' pb and it scrolls very fast in excel using sidetrack. With 3 or 4 "strokes" I can get 150 or 200 rows down the page with excel at 100% resolution. Is this what you call slow or does yours behave differently?
