Hi, I just installed VPC 7 upgrade disc over VPC 6. Anyways, the VPC 7 seems to work (including the internet) but when I click on about VPC in VPC7, under Info, that part says" Virtual PC components: Networking ktext not loaded"

Is this normal? Is it normal for VPC 7 to say that "the networking ktext is not loaded?"

The networking ktext isn't locationed in system>library>extensions
but in library>extensions, is this normal.

Anyways, how could I get the networking ktext to be loaded?

I haven't booted up VPC in a little while but I recall that it had a network error message popping up under panther. That could be the message, just it ok and you should be fine - as long as the panther/vpc error message and what your getting is one and the same.

I'm on OSX 10.4.2 Tiger and Virtual PC 7.02. I'm not getting any error messages, it's just that when I click on the Menubar>Virtual PC> About Virtual PC> Info
under " Virtual PC Components" says "Networking ktext: not loaded"
but internet connectivity under VPC7 works fine though. I tried reinstalling VPC7 and it's the same.

I'm have broadband connection, and I want to know if this is normal and if other Virtual PC 7 users with broadband connection also have the Networking ktext: not loaded under
Menubar>Virtual PC> About Virtual PC> Info
as well. Thnaks.

I get an error message even after reinstall. It tells me permissions are set but that it didn't load for Virtual Switch. I don't use Virtual Switch but it still doesn't work for internet or networking.

My solution was to revert to VPC6 which works fine.

Virtual PC 6 gives me that error under Tiger, which it didn't under Panther but networking is fine. I did change the preference to use the shared ethernet though instead of the network switch.

I didn't bother upgrading Virtual PC. I tried 7 and it didn't work very well at all so I just thought why fix what ain't broke?
