Safari Extra Metalic Space in top

My safari is now rendering the forward/back buttons underneath the close/minimize buttons, and now I have a giant metallic gap at the top of my browser. How do I fix this?? thanks!

ummm, that behavior _sounds_ normal to me (the forward/back buttons shouldn't be on the same plane as the traffic light buttons).

post a pic, perhaps?

*dumb* so the problem was that for some reason, my URL input and google search spaces had disappeared. So it looked like I had all this extra space, and didnt realize I was missing those
