i loved fruity loops, then iswitched to mac and didnt have it. i have no clue if ruity loops is made for mac or acid music.

basicaly im a dj and looking for a way to isolate certain parts of a track and put effects on it, plus a way of mastering tracks. and also doing the same kind of music creation like with fruity loops. anyway im also looking for audio programs that are freeware or sharewear that are effect generators. any help would be nice. basicaly a buch of programs that together would equal PRO tools. thanks.

a bunch of shareware or freeware apps will never equal pro tools...
but, having said that...

go to versiontracker.com, do a search (in mac osx, of course) for "audio", see what's out there.

when you're ready to move to a more "pro" app...check out ableton's "live"....
