When I burn a CD or DVD with Toast, I often find that when I open the burned CD, the file icon positioning is totally messed up. Sometimes files are even all placed on the same spot in the window. With CDs burned with the Finder it's usually not that bad, but even then the files are usually not in the same position in the window as in the folder that I burned. This is starting to drive me completely insane, especially the problem with Toast. I figured by now that removing the .DS_Store files helps, but this is really tedious. So I'm wondering:

- Am I the only one experiencing this problem? If not, does anyone know why this happens?
- Is there no better option for burning CDs on OSX so that when you open the CD the settings of the window and the icon positioning are exactly the same as in the original folder that you burned?

Oh btw, I do want to write cross-platform CDs so that I can read them on a PC too ...
