I've burned two DVD coasters now--something that's never happened with my Mac except when my drive lens was dirty. Sadly, this time a cleaning didn't fix the problem.

I'm really at a loss. The first disc would read in my PS2, but then it had dropped frames and sound glitches throughout and one of the video tracks was missing. Oddly, when I put it back in the Mac, the Apple DVD player picked it up fine. Then I cleaned the lens and tried again. The burn failed, after ruining the disc, and giving me "error 14000."

What 'dyall think? Software? Hardware?

I'm too lazy to call Applecare today, but it'll have to be soon. I've got about a month left on the warranty.

Which Mac are you using?

Try saving the project as a disk image and burn it with the disk utility....as slowly as possible.

Does it happen if you change users?
