I need help designing an Appleworks print template for a friend. While I am Mac-savvy, I have virtually no experience with Appleworks 6.

I want to create a template that will print out records in a columnar format, and will automatically adjust for multi-line items that have fewer lines to print. See an example of how a non-adjusting layout would print.

By contrast, an auto-adjusting layout would print without the blank lines.

Can anyone point me to a method of achieving this? Thanks.

Just for clarification purposes, you're asking about doing a custom report format from the database part of Appleworks?

Yes. The data entry layout works fine, but if we use something similar for printing, we get the blank lines between rows as shown.
