I installed Windows Media Player for obvious reasons, but I realized that VLC media player can play the same files, and more, so I want to switch to that. I was just wondering tho, when I installed Windows Media Player, it seemed to install alot of files to different locations. Can i just delete the WMP folder and remove it all like other apps, or are there more places where it exists?

use the find command to find any files containing "windows media".

Windows Media Player basically just installs its application and a browser plug-in in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/.

Personally, I've kept Windows Media Player around because I do run into the odd WMV file that VLC can't play.
