one for moki, if he still frequents these boards - or anyone else who has an answer:

while i love snapz pro, there's one bug/glitch which is driving me mad. several months ago i somehow managed to get the "object settings" pane positioned so that it's partially off-screen - just onscreen enough to be usable, but infuriatingly "un-grabbable". it only affects "capture selection" mode. the other ones work fine. i've tried everything i can think of to 'reset' the pane; trashing the prefs, pulgging and unplugging external monitors and invoking snapz pro with all manner of combinations of monitor setups and resolutions, but every time that f***king object settings pane still positions itself just off the edge of the screen.

this has persisted through several software updates including a clean install of tiger, so it's a pretty tenacious wee bugger!

has anyone any idea where snapz pro stores the current co-ords for the object settings pane in all the various capture modes, so i can tweak it back into full view?

[update]

well, only today i finally managed to solve this one!

trashing snapz pro's preferences didnae work. neither did opening the preferences in 'property list editor' and changing the co-ordinates of the palette to put it back onscreen - when i invoked snapz pro, the palette appeared in the centre of the screen for a fraction of a second before sliding like the proverbial "s.h.i.t off a shovel" off to one side and back to lurking halfway offscreen again!

in the end i altered snapz pro's prefs again, set them to "read only" and invoked snapz pro. hurray! - my palette was back where it belonged, in the middle of the screen. but what a feckin palaver! - just to recover a palette that had partially strayed offscreen. even then, snapz pro somehow managed to change the settings for the prefs file back, so it was no longer "read only"
