Hello all, I am thinking of buying final cut studio, Check out my signature for my G5's specs. Anyway, I am into advanced DV editing, I not only love Final Cut Express, but I would love to make my own movies for when I go off to college. And I would like you to consider my new purchase of the HDR-Fx1 DV Handycam, By SONY, I do not plan to take it out of the package until I get the software.

If anyone has any things to say about it, good of bad, please let me know, and feel free to rate the entire package and Final Cut, Soundtrack Pro, Motion, DVD Studio Pro.

Thanks, J.

Your computer meets the specs above and beyond. If you plan to shoot HD you may want to consider another hard drive and keep the applications seperate from the video. I only used FCP 5 and I love it. The Sony cam is great but if you plan to shoot true 1080i HD wait and get the Panasonic HVX-200. Its going to be the best and most cost efficient way to shoot HD. If your not shooting HD Dont get that Sony get the DVX-100a by Panasonic. Have fun in whatever you do.

You'll probably want another hard drive (or 2). I went through 1.5tb in a few months of doing Motion and HD work.
